of that out-of-print book or hard-to-find video a well stocked science
fiction shop is a very welcome resource. Often the folks running these
shops know more about the genre than those publishing the stuff.

Much of the great science fiction is out-of-print. That means Amazon is
not gonna supply all of your needs. That means hoofing via foot, phone,
or browser to your favorite book shop. These shops are maintaining
our science fiction heritage and desire a look the next time you are in
the market for that hard-to-find item.

Finished costumes and sources for raw materials is an important
part of convention going, and sitting around the house if you are like
some of us.
