Speculative fiction, particularly in sci-fi and horror genres, has always intrigued me as an art form. The exploration of the human condition in these forms allows a deeper yet alien reality. Taking the reader away from the ordinary allows for insights and revelation beyond what is possible in the everyday world. What can come from the author is a link to jumps in creativity and possibility. Other authors and artists have moved me. Taking what they created and creating something new on their shoulders. We as humans are doomed by mediocrity or enlightened by the act of creativity. It gives me hope when I read what is out there. The truth is in the writings not on television news. God bless us all everyone.
